Valiant Petroleum has relinquished exploration licence no. 013 as of 13th January 2013. The licence was granted in 2005 to Geysir Petroleum and Atlantic Petroleum. Geysir Petroleum was merged with Valiant Petroleum in 2011. Valiant Petroleum was a sole licence holder in the licence when relinquished.

Statoil Faroes has relinquished Licence 010 as of 1st March 2013. The licence was granted in 2005. Statoil Faroes was a sole licence holder in the licence.

Data have been acquired over the license acreages and geological work has been carried out. No exploration wells have been drilled in the licenses. There is a confidentiality period of two years for the data, after which Jarðfeingi will release them.

The relinquished areas are now available for others interested, which can apply any time under the Open Door Procedure.
